(10.) Read: A Minute by the Colonial Secretary, dated the 17th instant, on a letter from the Colonial Surgeon of the same date, forwarding the resignation of Mr. U. DA SILVA, Steward and Storekeeper of the Government Civil Hospital.

The Committee find that Mr. U. DA SILVA, though willing, is incapable of discharging the duties of his office, and recommend therefore that, in consideration of his having been in the Service since March, 1881, a gratuity at the rate of 3 months' pay amounting in all to $180 be granted to him.

The Chairman adjourns the Committee sine die.
